Snow

It snowed last Saturday and we had fun taking pictures of the girls playing. It wasn't a lot of snow, but Annalyce insisted on making a snowman and taking a picture (so cute).

And while Annalyce continued to work on the snowman (even after it started to get dark), Peyton gave up and came inside cold and exhausted ...

Tom the Turkey becomes Tom the Hunter

Peyton was given a school project this week to disguise Tom the Turkey so that he wouldn't become Thanksgiving dinner. We had fun trying to decide what to do. Annalyce suggested a Tom Boy (I thought that was pretty creative) and Peyton suggested a police officer. But, when we came across the camouflage in the sewing stuff, we knew right away what needed to happen. Tom the Turkey became Tom the Hunter. Though it isn't an amazing transformation (since you can still tell he's a turkey), we sure had a lot of fun!

Annalyce's 9th Birthday!

Today we celebrate Annalyce's birth and also express our appreciation for those who have served and continue to serve in our military. Thank you and Happy Birthday Annalyce!

Halloween Fun

This year both Annalyce and Peyton were allowed to dress up for school (at previous schools they have only allowed the kindergartners to dress up) and we were so excited for them. They also had a costume parade followed by a carnival put on by the PTA during the last two hours of school. It was so fun for me to get out of the house and watch all of the kids and see the fun costumes. I took several pictures, but only a few turned out. It is definitely time for a new camera!

Our Halloween was pretty quiet this year. The girls spent the day picking out pumpkins and then carving them with dad. We made homemade pizza for dinner and finally went out trick or treating in the neighborhood. We were a bit disappointed with our neighbors because many of them weren't home, so the girls got a slow start. Jeremiah finally took them over to the condos across the street and they had a little more luck. Needless to say we don't have a huge stash of candy, but at least the girls had fun!

Carving Pumpkins

On Halloween Jeremiah and the girls spent some time carving pumpkins while I took pictures. I thought it would be fun to share some of the pics ...

FYI - I'm new to Picasa. I can't figure out how to make this collage appear larger on my layout. I'd love some tips from a Picasa veteran. For those who want to see the pictures a little better, click on the collage and it will enlarge.
