The latest form of entertainment in the Leuck household is the standup comedy of "Princess Peyton". Every night at dinner we are blessed with her sillyness. It's gotten crazier since Trent moved in with us. I don't know where she comes up with the crazy things she says. Before dinner tonight she was running around the house dancing and singing about being princess "Bah Dah Bah Dah" (Gabriella) and telling everyone that Troy is her best friend. High School Musical . . . yikes! What have we gotten ourselves into? So when we finally sat down to dinner she was really on one.
After several months of arguing about who gets to say the blessing we finally put together a prayer chart. Annalyce has Mon/Wed and Peyton has Tue/Thur. Jeremiah, Trent and I have taken up the other three days of the week. Even though this has been the case for the last two months, the girls still volunteer to say the prayer each night. Each night we sit down and, of course, both Annalyce and Peyton throw their hands in the air and yelled, "me!" The standard response from mom and/or dad is, "today is _____ so it is ____'s turn."
Well, tonight it went like this . . .
Peyton & Annalyce -- "Me!"
Mom --"Tonight is Wednesday, so it is Annalyce's turn."
Peyton -- "No, it's happy day."
Mom -- "It's what?"
Peyton -- "It's happy day."
Jeremiah --"Oh, who says the prayer on Happy Day?"
Peyton -- "Me!"
We all had quite the chuckle. What logic! Well, Annalyce prayed and then we ate!
